Where is he? Tikeira grumbled inwardly. He should've been here by now...
Keira and her best friend, Zephyr, had planned to go out and catch themselves some lemurs. They were to meet at their favorite Airball court at midday, right after Zeph's training session with his father was over. But, unless time had decided to slow down, Zeph was late.
Rather bored, Keira opened the glider of her staff—which she always had firmly gripped in one hand or the other—and examined the dark green, fan-like 'wings'. If he doesn't show up in five more minutes, I'm going without him.

"Man that was fun!" Zeph said with a laugh. A lemur dashed passed to get the remains of his training session. "Lemur!? Oh man, I forgot!" He said taking off on his dark blue glider. "I have to get to the court in..." he said, swooping by the air clock. The air clock was a special building with two big circles on the side. The one on the left was numbered from 1 to 24. The one on the right was larger and numbered from 1 to 60. There was rod going from the center of each circle to the edge. 6 people lived in the building and work in 4 hour shifts to keep the clock running judged by the position of the sun. "...eight minutes ago!?" zeph picked up the pace, going as fast as possible. Squinting against the wind, he could see the airball court about 800 yards away.

Keira glanced up at the clock again. "Time's up..." she muttered, disappointed. It really wasn't like Zeph to forget about something that promised to be fun. It wasn't like any Airbender, actually.
Before she could take off, however, something caught her eye—a glider, headed her way, with Zeph's dark blue wings.
No two gliders were ever the exact same color, a feature used to identify which Airbender was where while they were too far away to see their face.
Keira watched for a second, then smirked. Let's see how he reacts if he thinks I haven't seen him... On that thought, she leapt into the air and flew off toward the Temple Garden at top speed. The Temple Garden was a vast park of beautifully tended trees and flowers—and prime winged-lemur territory.
